Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026. Replaces the version of October 20, 2026.

The short version

  • Your projects are saved in your own browser until you ask for a build.
  • When you build, the files and settings needed for that build are sent to our build service and processed in private storage.
  • We don't sell your information, and the website and app factory run no advertising or analytics trackers.
  • The apps you build are yours. What those apps collect from their users is covered by your privacy policy, not this one.

1. Who we are

This policy explains how instApped ("instApped," "we," "us" or "our") handles information when you use instapped.com, the app factory at create.instapped.com and our build service (together, the "Service"). instApped is responsible for the information described here.

2. Information we handle

We don't ask you to create an account. Depending on how you use the Service, we handle:

3. How we use it

We use this information to run the Service: to save and manage projects on your device, validate build settings, run builds and deliver build files, troubleshoot failures, answer your messages, prevent abuse and keep the Service secure and reliable. We don't use your source content to advertise to you, and we don't build profiles of you.

4. Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing the service you request (running builds and delivering files); our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Service; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it.

5. Builds and service providers

When you request a build, the project details and source material needed for it are sent to our build API. Build inputs and related metadata are stored in a private source repository and processed by automated build workflows. Completed build files are stored as private release assets and delivered to you through the build service.

We use these providers to do that:

These providers process information on our behalf and under their own privacy and security terms.

6. Signing information

If you use a signing feature, the Service may check a signing-access token to authorize the operation. Don't put passwords, private keys or keystores in your project files. Signing credentials used by the Service are kept in restricted secret storage, never in public app content.

7. Storage and retention

Information in your browser stays there until you delete the project or clear the site's data. Information sent for a build may remain in private repository storage, build logs and release files for as long as needed to provide builds, keep build history, troubleshoot and meet security and legal needs. Clearing your browser doesn't delete copies already sent for a build. To ask us to delete build records, see section 13.

8. Sharing

We don't sell or rent your personal information or project content, and we don't share it for advertising. We share information only with the providers in section 5 to operate the Service, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of users and others, or as part of a merger or sale of the Service, in which case this policy continues to apply.

9. International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

10. Apps you build

If you package a website, that website may collect information from people who use the resulting app. That collection is controlled by the website's operator, not by this policy. If you publish an app, you are responsible for its privacy policy and for store disclosures such as Google Play's Data safety form. You must have permission to package the content you use.

11. Security

We use private repository access, restricted secrets and encrypted connections for the build pipeline. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please send only what your project needs, and keep signing material and credentials to yourself.

12. Children

The Service is a general-purpose developer tool and isn't directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it. Don't use the Service to collect children's information in violation of the law.

13. Your rights and choices

You can delete projects inside the app factory or clear the site's data in your browser at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us from the address you want us to reply to and include the build ID or package ID involved if your request is about a build. We'll respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We may keep certain records when we need them for security, to resolve disputes or to comply with the law.

14. Changes

We'll update this policy as the Service changes. The effective date at the top shows when this version took effect. For material changes, we'll give notice on this site or in the app factory.
